Most companies WILL NOT HIRE YOU without BARE MINIMUM 160 HOURS of training COMPLETED.

  • What does a 200 hr course include?

    There are 40 credit Hours for permit, and 160 credit hours class for skills training, Driving, Backing, and Pretrip. Driving test will be at School. For a total of 200 credit hours.

  • Manual Transmission?

    Our trucks are  10 speed  manualUnsynchronized transmissions. “Shifting/operating transmissions” 

    is described as an introduction to “basic shifting patterns and procedures,” which will enable the trainee to perform basic shifting maneuvers, including executing up and down shifting techniques on multi-speed dual-range transmissions. Driver-trainees demonstrate proficiency in proper techniques for performing safe and fuel-efficient shifting and making any necessary adjustments in the process.

  • Where do you take the CDL Driving Test

    CDL Driving Test to get your license will be conducted at end of class at our Training Center Location. RBVT is a certified Third Party Skills Testing (TPST) provider authorized by the Texas DPS to administer the driving skills examination for Class A CDL applicants.

A Class A CDL License is needed to operate any combination of vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds. Vehicles requiring a Class A CDL license are primarily tractor-trailers driving long distances

RBVT's  Class A CDL Training Program provides students with the necessary skills to begin driving a truck professionally. We provide both the hands-on training and the CDL knowledge needed to properly and safely operate a truck.

CDL Driving Test to get your license will be conducted at end of class at our Training Centers.

Training will include:

  • Hands-on driving at our facility and on the road.
  • Trip planning and compliance with DOT.
  • Detect and identify maintenance problems on tractor-trailer units
  • Backing, turning and coupling/uncoupling.
  • Securing loads properly.
  • Permit Class to obtain learners permit
  • Endorsement Class for Hazmat, Tank, Double/Triples, Hazardous and Tank

RBVT offers complete training and testing to get your class A CDL License with no restrictions.

RBVT has a simple Loan Program in place that allows students to start paying the loan back 60 days after completion. The loan then is paid back over 3 years (depending on credit)

Paris Junior College

Students will receive 50 hours of classroom and lab instruction designed to provide the student with information necessary to obtain the requirements for a Class A Learners Permit. Topics include (but not limited to): Special Requirements, Air Brakes, General Knowledge, Human Trafficking and Combination Vehicle.

Collin College

Students must register for both CDL I and II (200 hours) Prepares student for mastery of the Commercial Drivers License written examination. CDL II is a continuation of CDL I and provides general truck driving skills with hands-on component, and instruction coordinated with the Department of Transportation.

Class In this extensive hands-on course, you will practice basic and advanced skill drills and safe operating practices; basic shifting and backing skills; general truck driving with hands-on competency development and instruction coordinated with the Department of Transportation.
